Calculate rollup of numerical BOM line properties with a custom rollup report

You can calculate the rollup of any numerical BOM line property, including custom properties.

Procedure

1. Open the required product structure.
2. Select a product variant from the Variant list.
3. Click Rollup > Create Report.
4. (Optional) In the Create Rollup Report panel, edit the name of the rollup report.
5. In the Template list, select Create Custom Template.
6. In the Create Template section, enter a name and description for the template.
7. In the Available Properties section, search for and select one or more properties.
8. Click Create Template.

The template name that you specified is displayed in the Template list in the Create Rollup Report panel.

9. Perform the action listed in the following table depending on your task:

Task	Action
Create the report synchronously	Clear the Run in Background check box. By default, the Run in Background check box is selected. Click Create Report. When the calculation is complete, the report opens in a new browser tab. You can view the properties that you selected as columns in the report.
Create the report in the background	(Note: For creating a report for large assemblies, it is recommended that you run the rollup calculation process in the background. If you are unable to do so, contact your system administrator.) Click Create Report. When the calculation is complete and the rollup report is generated, a notification appears in the Alerts panel. Click Alerts. The rollup report is available with its timestamp. Click the rollup report to view it. The report opens in a new browser tab. You can view the properties that you selected as columns in the report.
