Comparing product structures using Split View with filtering

You can use Split View to view product structures side-by-side for comparison. Independent filtering is available in each pane. Filter-only changes are preserved when navigating, while configuration changes revert to the original state.

When you click Split Context, Teamcenter divides the BOM view into left and right panes for comparison. Each pane can have its own filter criteria. When you click Back, only the left pane is displayed. However, when you click Exit Split, only the pane that was active, that is, the one in which you last clicked is displayed.

When you modify only the filter criteria without changing the configuration, and then click Back, your filtering is preserved. For example, if you apply filters in the left pane and then click Back, the left pane is displayed with the filters applied.

When you modify the configuration, for example, change the product variant or revision rule, and then click Back, your configuration changes are not preserved. For example, if you change the configuration in the left pane and then click Back, you return to the original BOM view that was available before you entered the Split View.
