Carry over parts from one Assembly BOM to another

Engineering parts can be reused in several structures. You can quickly populate a Assembly BOM by carrying over parts from another structure.Procedure Open the Assembly BOM from which you want to carry over the parts.

Click the Split Context .

The Assembly BOM is split and shown within two views displayed side-by-side.

In one view, click Open in View

In the Open in View panel, add the Assembly BOM to which you want to carry over the parts. You can either add the structure from the palette or search for it.

Click Open.

Drag the parts from one Assembly BOM to the other in order to carry over the parts.

As the aligned designs are also carried over to the new Assembly BOM, you can immediately visualize the carried over parts in the new structure.
