Configuring Systems Engineering
Naming Systems Engineering objects
As an administrator, you can optionally create naming rules that define the data entry format for a business object property. A naming rule consists of rule patterns and a counter. Before creating a naming rule, you should be familiar with the pattern and counter formats. After you create a naming rule, you must attach it to the business object property. You use the Business Modeler IDE to create the naming rules in a custom template that you define. You must deploy the custom template after making the changes.
Configurable Systems Engineering naming rules
Default Requirement ID Rule You can optionally create a naming rule to automatically name requirements, design requirements, and validation requirements. There is already a default rule defined for the ID property of these objects, but you can change this rule or create additional rules to specify the format you desire.
Default Custom Note ID Rule You can optionally create a naming rule to automatically name custom notes. There is already a default rule defined for the ID property of the custom note object, but you can change this rule or create additional rules to specify the format you desire.
