Creating a dry run

Performing a dry run of a baseline allows you to validate the data associated with the base item revision or structure before you create the actual baseline. This avoids the necessity to roll back the baseline, if Teamcenter encounters errors during its creation. The dry run generates a report that contains error messages, if Teamcenter encountered any problems while traversing the structure. Your administrator can configure Teamcenter to always make a dry run, by setting the value of the baselineDryRun and Baseline_dryrun_always preferences.
