Edit Teamcenter object properties from a diagram
Note
Microsoft Visio Professional must be installed on your computer. Visio Standard is not supported.
Tip
The text blocks of diagram shapes can be mapped to properties of the Boolean, Date, Double, Integer, and Text types. You can open a text block for editing by selecting the shape and pressing F2, or by double-clicking inside the shape.
You type the value directly in the text block. Features for automatic selection, such as Lists of Values (LOVs), are not available. The value must be in the correct format for the property type.
Procedure
Do one of the following:
For a single object
- Right-click the shape and choose Properties. The Properties dialog box is displayed. Values that you cannot edit are dimmed in the dialog box.
Note: A shape can consist of two or more subshapes that are grouped together. Each subshape can display a different property for the object. To edit a property in a group shape: subselect the individual subshape, then press F2 to open the subshape text block.
For multiple objects
- Press and hold Ctrl, and then click the shape for each object whose properties you want to edit.
- Right-click the selection and choose Properties. The Properties dialog box is displayed. Values that you cannot edit are dimmed in the dialog box.
Note: You can edit only those properties that are common to all selected objects.
- Enter your changes to the property values.
- To commit your changes, do one of the following: click Apply to keep the dialog box open, or click OK to close the dialog box.
The updated values are reflected in the diagram and in the Function or Logical Block view.
