Create a license server reference

A license server is a process dedicated to serving software licenses and tracking license usage. Multiple license servers can be used to serve licenses. A reference to a license server is needed when specifying a default license server for a site, configuring failover license servers, or assigning a specific license server to a user. Procedure Log on to the rich client as an administrator and open the Organization perspective. Select License Servers, enter the required information, and click Create. The Failover License Servers list is needed only when defining the primary license server for a Redundant Server Configuration (federated servers). For details, see Configure failover license servers.
