Sizing FMS fast cache

The File Management System (FMS) fast cache is used by every FMS client cache (FCC) and FMS server cache (FSC) to store segment data. This is by default the primary cache in the FSC. It is the portion of the FCC where excerpted partial file data is stored. This cache is frequently used in conjunction with a whole file cache, which stores complete files. Use the FMS cache sizing tool to determine your cache size requirements. The tool can be found in a ZIP file in the TC_ROOT\fsc\bin directory, and the latest version is always available from Customer Support. The tool consists of a Microsoft Word instruction document and a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet. For example, using the sizing tool does not make the FMS fast cache support 64-bit configurations when used in conjunction with a 32-bit Java run time.
