Schedule Management on Active Workspace > Using Multi-Site Collaboration > Exchange data through Multi-Site Collaboration
Exchange data through Multi-Site Collaboration
Schedule Management supports data sharing using Multi-Site Collaboration. When a schedule is exchanged between sites, the associated data are exchanged as well. A read-only replica of the data is created for each site on the shared list.
Considerations when using Multi-Site Collaboration for Schedule Management
- Sharing or exporting a subschedule will not share or export the master schedule along with it. For the master schedule to be exported, the user needs to select the master schedule explicitly.
- A replica subschedule under a master schedule cannot be removed. The subschedule needs to be transferred to the owning site of the master schedule to be removed.
- If the home task of a replica proxy task is updated, the replica proxy task will not be synchronized. To update the replica proxy task, share the owning schedule of the home task with the site where the replica proxy task resides.
- Sharing individual schedule tasks, schedule deliverable containers, or schedule member objects is not supported.
- Deleting schedule objects such as schedule tasks, schedule members, deliverables, proxy tasks, etc. from the owning site will also delete those objects from the other sites.
- Deleting remote schedule objects is not required to delete the schedule.
- Modifying owning user or owning group of schedules is not supported using remote export.
- Remote check out of schedules is not supported.
- The system imposes restrictions on using replica objects in certain operations, such as adding a proxy task that is a replica task or inserting a subschedule that is a replica subschedule.
