Create a child requirement or paragraph

In contrast to a derived requirement, a child requirement does not inherit the properties of the parent and there is no trace link relationship.

Procedure

In the Requirements view, select an existing requirement or paragraph, and do one of the following:

• Click Create Child on the toolbar.
• Press Ctrl-Q.
• Choose Edit→Create Child.

Teamcenter creates the child requirement or paragraph and adds it under its parent, as a new occurrence.
