Unassign or remove tags

You can unassign a tag from a branch when it is no longer relevant to the branch. You can also remove a tag from the project entirely if the tag itself is no longer applicable.

Note: If the tag you are trying to remove is assigned to another branch, the tag is unassigned from the selected branch, but not from the other branches. To remove a tag from the project, it must not be assigned to any other branches.

Procedure

1. Search for a system model project and view the branch data in the Content work mode.

   Tip: Click Show/Hide Branches > Show All Branches from the panel toolbar to see all the branches for the system model project.

2. Select the branch containing the tag you want to unassign or remove.

3. From the toolbar, click Manage Tags. The Assigned Tags and Available Tags sections display in the Manage Tags panel.

4. From the Assigned Tags section, select the tag you want to unassign or remove.

5. Do one of the following:

   • To unassign the tag from the branch and keep it in your list of available tags, click Unassign Tag.
   • To remove the tag entirely from the project, click Remove.

6. Click Save to unassign or remove the tags from the branch.
