Upstream reporting example

For an example of reporting budget values upstream, assume that a structure is organized as follows:

  • Car/A;1 (View)
    • 000010/A;1–Body (View)
      • 000012/A;1–Door
      • 000012/A;1–Door
      • 000012/A;1–Door
      • 000012/A;1–Door
    • 000011/A;1–Wheel Assembly (View)
      • 000013/A;1–Axle
      • 000013/A;1–Axle

In this example, assume that the budget is applied at the peak level, Car/A;1. If the expression is SUM, the values are processed as follows:

Row Element name Actual Value Note
1 Car/A;1 1055 This value is the sum of B2 and B7.
2 000010/A;1–Body 340 This value is the sum of B3, B4, B5, and B6.
3 000012/A;1–Door 79
4 000012/A;1–Door 79
5 000012/A;1–Door 91
6 000012/A;1–Door 91
7 000011/A;1–Wheel Assembly 715 This value is the sum of B8 and B9.
8 000013/A;1–Axle 420
9 000013/A;1–Axle 295
