Edit the properties of a part or an assembly
To update the properties of a part or an assembly, you must have write access to the parent assembly of the occurrence you want to edit. Additionally, It must not be checked out by any other user.
Procedure
- If you want to edit the properties in the markup mode, choose More Commands > Markup to switch to the markup mode.
- Select the part or assembly in the structure.
- Click Edit .The editable properties are in boxes. Properties that are not in boxes are read-only and cannot be edited.
- Change the properties you want to edit. Edited values are highlighted until you save the edits.To edit occurrence properties, you must have write access to the object containing the property. For example, if a property in the Overview tab is pulled from a form that is related to the object, you must have write access to the form to edit the property.To edit the absolute or relative transform properties of a structure element: Click a value in the Absolute Transform or Relative Transform column. In the Edit Transform panel, modify the values as required. Click Modify.
- To save changes, click Save Edits . To discard them, click Cancel Edits .
- If you are working in the markup mode, you must apply or cancel the markups to complete the updates.
Edit the occurrence properties when a new occurrence is added as a markup
Procedure
- Search for the occurrence or assembly where you want to add an element and click Open .
- If you want to add elements in the markup mode, choose More Commands > Markup to switch to the markup mode.
- Select the target node, where you want to add the element in the structure, click the Add icon, and select Child or Sibling as required.
- In the Add Child or Add Sibling panel (depending on the option that you chose), create a New element or use the Palette or Search function to find an existing element.
- Enter the ID, name, description, or unit of measure as required. The following properties can be marked up for edits: Sequence Quantity Occurrence name All Notes Any other custom occurrence properties
- Click Add.
