Migrate Microsoft Excel templates from versions prior to Teamcenter 8.3

Starting in Teamcenter 8.3, all Microsoft Excel templates included in Teamcenter no longer contain Teamcenter macro code. If you upgraded Teamcenter from a version prior to 8.3, you must update your Excel templates.

Procedure

1. In My Teamcenter, search for the following items and delete them:
   • REQ_defview_template
   • REQ_default_excel_template
   • REQ_default_RM_template
   • REQ_default_rel_export_template
   • REQ_default_struct_template
   • MFG_default_struct_template
2. At the server prompt, run the add_req_templates utility. This utility installs the new Excel templates in the database. If the templates you deleted were customized, you must repeat the customizations in the new templates installed by the utility.
3. If you created custom Excel templates other than the ones included in Teamcenter, you must remove the Teamcenter macro code from them: a. Open a custom template and press Alt-F11. b. Remove any Teamcenter macro code and leave your custom macro code. c. Save the macro and template. d. Repeat these steps for all custom templates.

Note: Custom macro code is preserved in Excel sheets generated at the server.
