Generate a report on all policies

Use this report to determine how much data is migrated using all currently defined policies, either volume management (VM) policies or hierarchical storage management (HSM) policies. The report format can be either text-based or in a pie chart. Procedure Open the Volume Management view. From the Policies tree, select a policy, either a VM policy or an HSM policy. If you select a VM policy, a report is run on all defined VM policies. If you select an HSM policy, a report is run on all HSM policies. Click the Report tab. Select All Policies to generate a report on all defined policies. Refine the report. If you select a VM policy, in the Volume Migration Options section, select the source volume and destination volume for which you want to generate the report. If you select an HSM policy, in the Migration Tier section, specify the migration path for the selected data. Click either Primary-Secondary, Secondary-Tertiary, or Primary-Tertiary. For example, Primary-Secondary migrates data from the primary volume to the secondary volume. (Optional) In the Migration Dates section, select the beginning and end dates for which you want to generate a report. Alternative to the two previous steps, select Load Previously Generated Report to load the last report created. Click PieChart at the bottom of the pane to illustrate the percentage of files that were migrated for each migration policy in the Report section. Click Report at the bottom of the pane to generate the total number and size of all files that are migrated by each policy in the Report section. Manage the report using any of the buttons to the right of the Report section.
