Rename an option

Procedure If necessary, choose View→Show/Hide Data Panel or click the Show/Hide Data Panel button on the toolbar. Teamcenter opens the data pane. Click the Variants tab and select the option to rename in the Options branch of the variant data tree. Type a new name and click Modify to modify the option. Click Save to save the changes.

Note You cannot rename an option that is used in more than one revision of the item or in any expression. Also, you cannot rename an option that is shared between sites in a Multi-Site Collaboration environment.
