Create an MMV index using Active Workspace

If the Include Massive Model Visualization (MMV) Indexing check box is selected while installing the Discovery Auto-Index Service, and if the Discovery Sync Service and Discovery MMV Sync Service are already installed and running, the structure is automatically indexed for MMV. However, if these services are not installed or you want to index a structure for MMV for a specific organizational need, you can index it using Smart Discovery so that engineering users can view its geometry and find and filter the items within the structure.

The Discovery Auto-Index Service, Discovery Sync Service, and Discovery MMV Sync Service are installed during Smart Discovery installation.

Procedure

1. From Launcher, click Indexer and Search Administration Dashboard. (If this option is unavailable, search for it. You can pin it from the search results for future access.)
2. Click Smart Discovery Index > Diagnostics.
3. Select a query and enter the specific search criteria.
4. Click Get Indexing Status.
5. In Status Summary, click the Indexed option.
6. Select a structure and click MMV Index.
7. Click Yes to confirm that you want to index the structure for MMV.
