Configure TCCS for rich client (two-tier and four-tier)

When the Teamcenter Rich Client (2-tier and 4-tier) feature is installed, you must set up server pointers in TCCS for both the two-tier client and the four-tier client. Procedure In the Feature Maintenance panel of Teamcenter Environment Manager (TEM), under Teamcenter Rich Client (2-tier and 4-tier) select Modify settings and click Next until you reach the Environment Settings for Client Communication System panel. The environments entered in this panel are displayed in the list of available environments when a client is launched. Use this panel to set up pointers to both the two-tier client and the four-tier client. In the Environment Settings for Client Communication System panel, type values in the following table cells: Name Specifies the name of the TCCS environment. Assign the TCCS name precisely to indicate a two-tier or four-tier environment. URI/TC_DATA Specifies the four-tier URI to the TCCS environment or two-tier TC_DATA location. TEM validates this field whether it is a valid URI or TC_DATA location. Tag Specifies a pattern to apply when filtering the list of available TCCS environments. SSO App ID Specifies the ID of the Security Services application you use with TCCS. SSO Login URL Specifies the URL to the Security Services Login Service application you use with TCCS. TcServer Character Encoding Canonical Name (2-tier) Specifies the TcServer character encoding set that the two-tier rich client uses to access the database by canonical name, for instance, Cp1252. This entry is only needed for two-tier environments. This field is empty for four-tier environments. Single Server Specifies whether the connection is to a single server machine (true) or multiple servers in a distributed environment (false). To set up additional TCCS features such as forward and reverse proxy, SSL, and Kerberos authentication, click Advanced. A tabbed panel opens in which you can set up the features. When you have finished setting up the features, click OK to close the advanced features panel. Click Next until you reach the Confirmation panel and then click Start. The environment information is saved. If the configuration is shared, the files are saved to the AllUsersProfile\Siemens\cfg\tccs\Teamcenter\envs directory. If the configuration is private, the files are saved to the UserProfile\Siemens\cfg\tccs\Teamcenter\envs directory. When you log on to the client, the environments are displayed in a list when a client is launched.
