Find the source or duplicates of a requirement object
Use this procedure to determine whether a requirement object is the source or duplicate of another requirement object and, if so, to which requirement object or objects it is the source or duplicate.
Procedure
In the Systems Engineering Requirements view, select the requirement object for which you want to determine the source or duplicate objects.
Note: Requirement objects include requirement specifications, requirements, or paragraphs, and nested requirement specifications, requirements, or paragraphs.
Click the Relation Browser tab, or open the Relation Browser view by choosing Window→Show View→Relation Browser. The selected requirement object appears in the Relation Browser view.
Choose Contexts→Genealogy from the Relation Browser view menu.
Note: The genealogy feature is enabled by setting
IMAN_based_onas a shown relation for the requirement revision item type.Any duplicate requirement objects that are related to the selected requirement object appear in the Relation Browser view.
To view the predecessor (source object) related to the selected requirement object, right-click the node in the Relation Browser view and choose Hide/Show Predecessors.
Tip: You can control whether the source (predecessor) and duplicate (successor) objects appear for the selected node using the hide and show successor and predecessor commands in the Relation Browser view.
