Administering pools with the Teamcenter management console

You can use the Teamcenter management console to administer active Teamcenter server pools. Note After you complete deployment of the Server Manager, future changes to Server Manager parameters must be made through the Teamcenter management console. Changes are not retrieved from the serverPooldatabase-name.properties file after initial deployment. After you make changes to Server Manager parameters, you must restart server pools for changes to take effect. Launch the Teamcenter management console. The default address is http://host:8083/mgmt/console Under Server Manager, select the server pool you want to administer. The Status page of the console displays information for the selected pool. Click the Operation tab or Config tab to show available actions and settings. The following illustrations show the available actions and settings on the tab pages and sub-pages. Operation tab Shutdown Wait Terminate the manager, all of its servers, and TECS with the MUX. Wait for active servers to finish their current request. Shutdown Immediately Terminate the manager, all of its servers, and TECS with the MUX. Do not wait for active servers to finish their current request. Restart Warm Servers Restart all warm servers in all pools, so that all unassigned warm servers have a current configuration. The Restart Warm Servers operation terminates existing warm TcServers (TcServers that are unassigned but ready for use). The Server Manager then spawns new TcServers with the latest configuration, included changes such as server side preference updates. Show Cluster Data On a new page, show the manager's stored cluster data. Config tab Various configuration settings are available on three sub-pages: Pool Config, Advanced Pool Config, and Global Pool Config. To change the selected pool's configuration values, edit the values on a page and then click Submit on that page. Changes made on the Global Pool Config page apply to all pools.
