Configure FMS for HTTPS
You can configure FMS to use either the hypertext transfer (HTTP) protocol or a secure server layer (HTTPS) protocol. Configuring FMS for HTTPS when using Deployment Center If you are using Deployment Center for your Teamcenter installation, on the Components tab, ensure the HTTPS Config component is configured. (Distributed environments have multiple HTTPS Config components.) No additional FMSconfiguration is required. Configuring FMS for HTTPS when using TEM Set the protocol during installation from the FSC Non-Master Settings and FCC Settings panels in Teamcenter Environment Manager (TEM). Note If you chose the HTTPS protocol for FMS during installation, you are prompted to supply the appropriate proxy, host, and port information. You are also asked whether you want to add the URL of the local host to the list of servers defined in the Fms_BootStrap_Urls preference. The only post installation tasks required to implement HTTPS are generating a keystore and key entry and generating a certificate signing request. If you chose the HTTP protocol for FMS during installation and now want to use the HTTPS protocol, you must: Modify the FMS primary configuration file to reflect the new HTTPS addresses.
