Volume Monitor view interface

1 Filestore tree Displays all filestores defined in your FMS configuration that contain configured volumes. Add volumes to a filestore using the filestore element in the FMS master configuration file (FSC_HOME/fmsmaster_fscid.xml). Note Only configured volumes display. If, for example, you have a load balancer defined in your FMS configuration with no volume definitions, the load balancer does not display in the filestore tree. 2 Volume table Displays the status, percentage full, and free space available for all volumes defined for the selected filestores. 3 Usage table Displays user and group usage information (number of files, and total space used) for the volume selected in the volume table. Note Determining the total space used by users and groups requires calculating the size of every file on the volume. This can be a time-consuming operation if numerous files exist on the volume, taking hours to complete. By default, this calculation is disabled. To display the total space used by users and groups, select the Enable Total Space Retrieval check box. You are prompted to confirm that you want to continue with this operation. Click OK to display the total space calculations for all users and groups on the selected volume. 4 User/group information pane Displays user information for the user or group selected in the usage table.
