Command Description
Trace Link→Start Trace Link Initiates a trace link from the selected objects. If multiple defining objects are selected, a separate trace link is created from each object.
Trace Link→End Trace Link Completes a trace link to the selected object. If multiple complying objects are selected, a separate trace link is created to each object. This menu command assigns the default subtype, Trace Link, to the new trace link.
Trace Link→End Trace Link... Completes a trace link to the selected complying object of a given subtype. If multiple complying objects are selected, a separate trace link is created to each object. This button allows you to assign a custom subtype to the new trace link.
Microsoft Office Templates→Create Specification Template Displays the New Business Object dialog box, where you can create a specification template. A specification template is a Microsoft Office Word document that controls the content and format of the data that is exported to Word.
Microsoft Office Templates→Create Object Template Displays the New Business Object dialog box, where you can create an object template. An object template controls the content and format when you export Teamcenter objects to Word.
Microsoft Office Templates→Create Excel Template Displays the New Business Object dialog box, where you can create a Microsoft Office Excel template. An Excel template defines the property data and output format used when you export Teamcenter objects to Excel.
Microsoft Office Templates→Override Word Templates Displays the Override Word templates dialog box, where you can configure the specification template to override the default for selected business objects.
Budgets→Create Budget Definition Displays the New Budget Definition dialog box, where you can create a budget definition.
Budgets→Edit Budget Displays the Edit Budget dialog box, where you can select the Excel template for a selected budget definition.
Diagram→Open Diagram Opens a Visio diagram.
Diagram→Create Template Displays the New Diagram Template dialog box, where you can create a new Visio diagram template.
Diagram→Edit Template Displays the Edit Diagram Template dialog box, where you can edit a Visio diagram template.
Connection Manager→Connect Creates a connection between a network port and one or more network connections in a functional or logical model structure.
Connection Manager→Disconnect Removes a connection between a network port and one or more network connections in a functional or logical model structure.
Connection Manager→Show Connected Lines Displays the Show Connected Lines dialog box for the selected function or logical block.
Signal Manager→Associate Signal To Source Associates a signal to the source, transmitter, or origin of the signal.
Signal Manager→Associate Signal To Target Associates a signal to the target, receiver, or destination of the signal.
Signal Manager→Associate Signal To Transmitter Associates a signal to a transmitter, or connection.
Signal Manager→Remove Signal Source Removes a signal from the source.
Signal Manager→Remove Signal Target Removes the signal from the target.
Signal Manager→Remove Signal Transmitter Removes a signal from a transmitter, or connection.
Import→Objects Displays the Import dialog box, where you select an import file containing object data in the Teamcenter format or the STEP format.
Import→From PLMXML Creates new objects in Teamcenter from a previously exported PLM XML file.
Import→Templates→Specification Template Available only in the Home view. Displays the Import Specification Template dialog box, where you select the template to import. Used in exporting object data to Microsoft Office Word, a specification template defines the Word styles that are applied to the data in the output document.
Import→Templates→Object Template Available only in the Home view. Displays the Import Object Template dialog box, where you select the template to import. Used in exporting object data to Microsoft Office Word, an object template designates the properties that are exported for the selected objects.
Import→Templates→Excel Template Available only in the Home view. Displays the Import Excel Template dialog box, where you select the template to import. Used in exporting object data to Microsoft Office Excel, an Excel template specifies which properties are exported and defines property filtering rules for the selected objects.
Export→Objects In the Requirements, Function, and Logical Block views, displays the Application Interface Export dialog box. By exporting the selected objects to an application interface, you can store one set of parameters for sharing PLM XML data repeatedly with other sites. In the Home view, displays the Export dialog box. You can export the selected objects to an application interface or an output file in the Teamcenter or STEP format.
Export→To PLMXML Generates a PLM XML file containing properties of the specified objects.
Export→Objects To Excel Generates a Microsoft Office Excel file containing the objects and properties of the specified objects. You can create a static Excel file, or you can create an interactive live Excel file that is synchronized with the Teamcenter database. Changes made to cells in the spreadsheet are applied to the database.
Export→Objects To Word Generates a Microsoft Office Word file containing the objects and properties of the specified objects. You can create a static Word file, or you can create an interactive live Word file that is synchronized with the Teamcenter database. Edits in a live Word document are applied to the database at exit and file save.
Export→To Remote Site via Global Services Available only in the Home view. Displays the Remote Export to Global Services dialog box, where you select the destination site to receive the exported data.
Compare→Structure Compare→BOM Compare Displays the BOM Compare Structure dialog box. You can compare a source structure and a target structure at the lowest level, at a single level, and at multiple levels. You can also generate a comparison report, which opens in the BOM Compare Report view.
Compare→Structure Compare→Clear Compare Closes the BOM Compare Report view and removes the highlighting in the structures.
Compare→Document Compare→Start Compare Sets a requirement or specification as the source for comparison with a subsequently selected target requirement or specification.
Compare→Document Compare→End Compare Sets a requirement or specification as the target for comparison with a previously selected source requirement or specification.
Compare→Document Compare→Compare With Prior Initiates a comparison of the selected requirement or specification with its preceding version.
Compare→Accountability Check→Accountability Check Displays the Accountability Check dialog box, where you can compare two structures to ensure all lines in the source structure are consumed in the target structure.
Compare→Accountability Check→Clear Accountability Check Display Removes color highlights created by the accountability check.
Compare→Accountability Check→Select Unused Runs the accountability check and shows all occurrences in the source pane that do not match an occurrence in the target pane in an occurrence group.
Compare→Accountability Check→Select Overused Runs the accountability check and shows all occurrences in the source pane that match a corresponding occurrence in the target pane in an occurrence group.
Compare→Accountability Check→Select Completely Used Runs the accountability check and shows all occurrences in the source pane that match more than one occurrence in the target pane in an occurrence group.
Compare→Accountability Check→Find in Other Structure Finds the corresponding item in the other panel and selects it. This also expands the tree automatically.
Generate Report Creates item reports in the context of one or more selected objects. Item reports generate in multiple output formats and follow PLM XML standards allowing integration with third-party reporting tools. Runs the Report Generation Wizard from which you can select a style sheet for the type of report to generate. For example, the TL Complying and Defining Report.
