Engineering BOM Management ─ Deployment and Administration
Configure the validation criteria for variant rules
Variant rules must be valid to create and update the solution variants. Considering your business requirement, you can configure this validation criteria. If all conditions mentioned in Smc0IsVariantRuleValidForSolutionVariant are met, the Valid for Solution Variant column shows True and engineers can create a solution variant for the variant rule.
Procedure
In BMIDE, navigate to Extensions > Rules > Conditions > Smc0IsVariantRuleValidForSolutionVariant.
Double-click and open the
Smc0IsVariantRuleValidForSolutionVariantcondition.Update the condition by modifying its expression as needed.
For example, suppose that you want the variant rule to be released with either the TCM Released, Approved, or Sanctioned workflow in order to be valid. In such a situation, write:
svr.release_status_list=INLIST("TCMReleased","Approved","Sanctioned")Save and deploy the BMIDE project.
