FSC clientmap DNS suffix configuration
This configuration illustrates how to use DNS names to map an FCC to the parent FSCs. Primary configuration file (FSC_HOME/fmsmaster_fsc-ID.xml) This file is configured similar to the previous examples. See the FSC_HOME/fmsmaster.xml.template file for all available elements. The key points of this configuration's configuration file are: dnszone client map attribute The dnszone attribute can be used instead of the subnet and mask attributes to map FSCs. dnshostname client map attribute The dnshostname attribute can be used instead of the subnet and mask attributes to map a specific host to FSCs. default client map attribute The default attribute can be used to define default FSCs whenever subnet/mask, dnszone, or dnshostname client maps fail to map an FCC. This default attribute replaces the legacy mask="0.0.0.0" technique previously used for subnet/mask maps. dns_not_defined client map attribute The dns_not_defined attribute can be used to define an FSC map whenever a requesting FCC’s IP address cannot be converted to a DNS name.
