Generate an Assembly BOM automatically

You can automatically generate an Assembly BOM from a design structure and then align it. When a design structure is updated, the alignment data is also carried over to the Assembly BOM. You can validate the alignment. In case of alignment mismatch, you can manually realign the parts with designs.You can automatically generate an aligned Assembly BOM from a design BOM (design structure) that already exists in Teamcenter. The variability scope associated with the design BOM is carried over to the generated Assembly BOM.If the aligned design structure is updated, you must also update the Assembly BOM. The alignment data is carried over to the updated structure. If the design structure is released, you must first revise it and then update it. In this case, the alignment data is not carried over to the updated structure.After generating or updating the aligned Assembly BOM, you can validate if the alignment is done correctly. In case of an alignment mismatch, you can realign the parts and designs and the part occurrences and design occurrences manually.
