About Usage BOM

A Usage BOM is a 150% BOM that represents the complete content of a product and its variants, if available. A Usage BOM consists of item revisions and occurrences, also called collaborative part and part usages. The part usages have independent lifecycle and change control. In other words, the part usages in a Usage BOM can be revised and released independent of its parent assembly.Example Consider that Crosskart is one of the several products that your company manufactures. Crosskart, in turn, has two variants, Base and Deluxe. The BOM content of these two variants is maintained within a single Usage BOM. The BOM for each variant is derived based on the usage of a part in a specific variant.
