Define the WBS code format using the table
Procedure
In Schedule Manager, select the schedule.
Choose Schedule→WBS→Define Format.
Teamcenter displays the Define WBS Format dialog box.
Use the Define table in the middle of the dialog box to help define the format. Example table layout:
Level Sequence Length Separator 1 Number 1 . 2 Number 1 . Define the Sequence for each level:
- Number — displays a numeric WBS code (no support for fractions).
- Uppercase — shows uppercase alphabetical WBS codes.
- Lowercase — shows lowercase alphabetical WBS codes.
Define the Length for each level of the WBS code. For example, to show four uppercase characters in the first level, enter
4in the Length column. The total length of a WBS code can be from 1 to 9 characters.Define the Separator to separate the WBS code for one level from the next:
+(plus),–(minus),/(forward slash),.(period).Click Add to define another level of tasks, or Delete to remove one row/level.
Note: The Example area displays the code based on the levels in the format — a live preview of the WBS codes that can be applied to the schedule tree structure.
