The different ways to create a Usage BOM

In usage-based engineering BOM management, a Usage BOM is a 150% BOM that represents the complete content of a product and its variants, if available. There are several ways to create a Usage BOM:

Automatically generate an aligned Usage BOM from an existing design BOM. The variability scope associated with the design BOM and the alignment data are carried over to the Usage BOM.

Manually create a Usage BOM or save an existing BOM to create a new one. You cannot duplicate a Usage BOM to create a new one. After creating the BOM, you must generate its aligned design BOM or align it with an existing design BOM so that you can visualize the Usage BOM.

The effectivity is carried over to the Usage BOM from the active change notice.
