Monitor seat license level violations

When a user logs on to Teamcenter, the seat license consumed is at one of two seat level types: author or consumer. The pairing of a given operation (action) performed on a given business object (type) is categorized as either author level or consumer level. When a user logged on with a consumer level license performs an author level operation on a given operation/business object pair, Teamcenter counts a license violation. When the user exits the session, the violations are recorded in a log file on the server. The log file is saved in the consumer_violations directory within the Teamcenter log location and named with the pattern user-id_license_violation.log. By default, the Teamcenter log location is the value present in the TEMP environment variable. If a TC_LOG_DIR environment variable has been set on the server, then the consumer_violations directory is created within that location. Use the consumer_license_violation_report utility to summarize license violation data from individual user log files. Users assigned a consumer level license who regularly perform author level operations should be reassigned an author level seat license. After generating a license violation report, an administrator may choose to delete user-specific license violation log files. However, reports generated after these files have been deleted do not contain the historical license violation data of the users. Example At the end of a two-week period, an administrator generates a summary report of license violations, and then deletes all user-specific license violation log files. In the following two weeks, new user-specific license violation log files are generated. At the end of the week four, the administrator generates a new summary report. The original summary report contains the violations for weeks one and two, and the new summary report contains only the violations for weeks three and four.
