A requirement structure named Prog1 contains the requirements for a specific product program. These requirements are used for all product lines in the program.

A new product line called NewPLine is created in the Prog1 program that also uses this set of common requirements. Therefore, you perform a Save As operation on the Prog1 requirement specification to create a new requirement specification with the same set of common requirements.

The source figure shows the results after performing a Save As operation in Word on the Prog1 requirement specification to create the new NewPLine requirement specification. You can now edit the requirements in the NewPLine requirement specification structure, as needed, for the new product line.
