Create and view test case coverage information against requirements

You can view the test case coverage status and other test information for the selected requirements. You can also create a test case and add it directly to a requirement.

The Test Coverage tab includes these sections:

  • Test Case Coverage: Provides a pie chart overview of the selected requirements that may or may not have test cases associated with them.
  • Test Case Status: Provides the Released or Not Released test case status for the selected requirements.
  • Test Case Coverage and Status: Provides a sortable list of test cases with the related information for the selected requirements. You can select a test case and open it in a new tab.

Procedure

  1. Open a requirement specification and click Details > Test Coverage.

  2. Select one or more requirements to view the test coverage information.

  3. (Optional) In the Test Case Coverage section, click Requirements with Test Cases or Requirements without Test Cases to filter the Test Case Coverage and Status list.

  4. (Optional) In the Test Case Status section, click Released or Not Released.

Tests included in the Released bar are completed and validated. Tests included in the Not Released bar still require testing.

  5. (Optional) In the Test Case and Coverage section, select a single requirement and click Add Test Case to create a test case with a trace link directly to the selected requirement.

You can expand or collapse the list by clicking the Expand Below or Collapse Below buttons.
