Filter configurator objects using intents

Filter configurator objects using intents You can dynamically filter families and constraints based on their assigned intents and allocation intents. This filtering helps you focus on specific subsets of variability relevant to your current task or domain. Prerequisites Your administrator has enabled filtering by intents. Procedure Open the configurator context and click the Models, Features, or Constraints tab. In the Intents list, select the intent that you want to specify use for filtering. You can select multiple values as required. The objects in the view are refreshed based on the selected intents. Results For dynamic families, the standalone features are filtered as specified. If a family has an allocation intent assigned, the system uses this allocation intent for filtering. For example, if a family has an allocation intent of Marketing and a standard intent of Manufacturing, and you select Marketing in the breadcrumb, the family is filtered in. If you select Manufacturing, the family is filtered out. If a family does not have an allocation intent, the system uses its standard intent for filtering. If a family has no specified intents, neither standard nor allocation, it is always filtered in, which means that it is displayed regardless of the intents selected in the breadcrumb.
