Trace Links view

You can display traceability information using the Trace Links view. You can also display traceability information using the Traceability view, which is used by different applications such as Manufacturing Process Planner or Structure Manager. However, working in the Trace Links view, you can tightly control the displayed traceability information by setting expansion levels and filtering traceability information by scope, object type, trace link type, and property.

Some tasks can also be performed in the Traceview Settings dialog box, which appears when you open the Trace Links view by clicking or choosing View→Show Trace Links....

Interface elements

1. Column Configurations — Allows you to apply saved column configurations.

2. Toolbar — Allows you to perform the following:

   Button	Purpose
   Delete Trace Link	Deletes the selected trace link.
   Show/Hide Trace Links	Toggle to display or hide the trace links.
   Orphan Report	Allows you to display all unlinked and linked objects, only linked objects, or only unlinked objects.
   Show/Hide Trace Link Criteria	Allows you to display or hide the trace view settings.
   Properties	Displays the properties of the selected object.
   Export to Excel	Exports the information in the Trace Links view to Excel.
   Configuration	Allows you to change the configuration settings by selecting revision rules, variant rules, and effectivity.
   Go To Object	Allows you to open up the selected objects in any of the following applications: CAE Manager, Manufacturing Process Planner, Multi-Structure Manager, My Teamcenter, Schedule Manager, Systems Engineering.
   Find in views	Allows you select the visible views to display the selected object.
   Disable/Enable response to selections	Enables or disables other views' response to selections in the current view. If enabled, other views respond to selections in the current view. If disabled, other views do not reflect the selection changes in current view.
   Associate...	Allows you to associate a secondary view with a different primary view.
   Set input to recent selection	Sets the input for a view to recently selected objects.
   Save Column Configuration	Saves the current column configuration with a name and description.
   Apply Column Configuration	Applies the column configuration you select from a list of saved column configurations.
   Mark as Publishable	Marks the column configuration as publishable so it is available for other Teamcenter users to use.
   Publish Column Configuration	Publishes the column configuration so it is available for other Teamcenter users to use.

   Note: Click the View Menu button to display the menu commands.

3. Scope tab — Filter traceability information by configured structures.

4. Object Type Filters tab — Filter traceability information by object type.

5. Link Type Filters tab — Filter traceability information by trace link type.

6. Property Filters tab — Filter traceability information by properties.

7. Defining Objects — Displays the defining traceability information.

8. Complying Objects — Displays the complying traceability information.

9. Show Traceability Views — Show or hide defining or complying objects.

10. Setting for expand level — Set number of levels to expand for traceability information.
