Create a link between a product engineering BOM and design

Users can align the engineering parts within a product engineering BOM (Usage BOM or Assembly BOM) to engineering designs within a design structure. For this alignment, you must create a link between the design (default or custom) and the product engineering BOM.

Procedure

1. In BMIDE, open the required BMIDE template project, for example, B4.

2. Click BMIDE → Editors → GRM Rules Editor.

3. In GRM Rules, click Add.

4. In the New GRM Rule dialog box, enter the following details, and click Finish:

   Field	Value
   Primary Object	Name of the product engineering BOM, for example, B4CustomEBOMProduct
   Secondary Object	Name of the design, for example, B4CustomDesign
   Relation Object	fnd0DesignToBomLink
   Condition	isTrue
