Configuring the Subscription Manager and Task Monitor email sender for services and daemons
The Subscription Manager and Task Manager services (Windows) and process daemons (Linux) send notification emails from the email address associated with the user specified by TC_USER in each of their startup scripts (run_subscripmgrd and run_taskmonitor, respectively). By default, TC_USER in each script is set to the user that installed Teamcenter. For your organization's business needs, you may want the scripts to have emails sent by a different user account than that of the default user. Use the following steps to configure the scripts to use a different user account: Ensure the user (or users if you wish to have multiple senders) is defined as a Person in the Teamcenter Organization application. Verify the user's E-Mail Address value is correct and the user is a member of the dba\DBA group and role. See Creating persons and user accounts. Using an ASCII editor, open the scripts for either or both of the services you want to update: Subscription Manager TC_ROOT\bin\run_subscripmgrd.bat (Windows) TC_ROOT/bin/run_subscripmgrd.sh (Linux) Task Manager TC_ROOT\bin\run_taskmonitor.bat (Windows) TC_ROOT/bin/run_taskmonitor.sh (Linux) Change the value of TC_USER to the name of the user from which emails will be sent. For example, Copy set TC_USER=newusername Save the files and run the updated scripts to restart the services.
