Start the Teamcenter management console
After you install the Teamcenter management console, perform the following steps to start the console. Note If the Teamcenter management console settings are changed, such as by adding or removing server components, then you must clear the JETI Management cache for the changes to reliably take effect. Procedure At a system command prompt, set the current directory to the following path as appropriate for the operating system. Operating system Directory path Windows Copy TC_ROOT\mgmt_console\container\bin\ Linux Copy TC_ROOT/mgmt_console/container/bin/ To start JETI Management, run the following command as appropriate for the operating system: Operating system Command Windows Copy TC_ROOT\mgmt_console\container\bin\trun Linux Copy ./trun Tip On Linux platforms, to run the Teamcenter management console in the background, you would expect to run the following command: Copy nohup ./trun & However, trun does not support the nohup command well, and you must use the following command instead: Copy ./start In other words, the start script should be used to achieve the same goal. Additionally, the start script writes the terminal output to the following file, an equivalent to the nohup.out file generated by the nohup command: Copy TC_ROOT/mgmt_console/container/data/karaf.out To start the console, in your web browser enter the following URL: Copy http://host:8083/mgmt/console If you encounter difficulties displaying the Teamcenter management console in a Windows Internet Explorer browser, then disable the Internet Explorer Compatibility View setting, restart the browser, and reopen the Teamcenter management console. Enter your login credentials and click Sign in. If this is the first time the console is run, then do the following to establish a secure password. Type admin for the user name and admin for the password and click Sign in. A prompt to change the password appears. In the prompt to change the password, click OK. In the Change Password dialog box, change the password from admin to another password and click Save. The password must be a minimum of 8 characters in length and cannot contain the string admin. The console is displayed. Stopping and restarting JETI Management, clearing the cache Procedure To stop JETI Management, in the JETI Management console window press Ctrl+D. Alternatively, run the following command as appropriate for the operating system. Operating system Command Windows Copy stop Linux Copy ./stop To restart JETI Management and clear the JETI Management cache, run the following command as appropriate for the operating system. Operating system Command Windows Copy trun -clean Linux Copy ./trun -clean An alternative method for clearing the cache is to stop JETI Management and then manually delete all the entries in the following directory: Operating system Directory Windows Copy TC_ROOT\mgmt_console\container\data Linux Copy TC_ROOT/mgmt_console/container/data
