Access structure data in email

Procedure

  1. Open the Teamcenter email message.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • If a Word or Excel document is attached to the message, save the attachment locally or open it from the message. The content is a fixed record of the data as of a given time — you cannot save changes to the underlying structure in Systems Engineering.
    • If the message body contains a URL, click the URL to open the document in live Word or live Excel. You can edit this document and save the changes to the underlying structure in Systems Engineering.
