requirements-management
You can manipulate requirement objects between requirement structures by cutting or copying, and then pasting the objects from one document to another, or within the same document.
Note: Requirement objects include requirement specifications, requirements, or paragraphs, and nested requirement specifications, requirements, or paragraphs.
Example
As shown in the source figure, you can copy or cut and then paste requirement objects from the Requirements pane between Word documents. You can also copy or cut and then paste within the same document.
- When you perform the copy and paste operation, you copy a requirement object from a source requirement structure to a destination requirement structure. The source structure remains unchanged.
- When you perform the cut and paste operation, you remove a requirement object from a source requirement structure and move it to a destination requirement structure.
- The contents of the object copied or cut from the source structure are also copied to the destination structure.
Note: You cannot perform the copy and paste operation or the cut and paste operation on the root requirement specification in the source structure.
