Configure end-item assemblies on rich client

The end-item assemblies improve system performance by collapsing sub-assemblies and hiding information that is not relevant to the current task. When business users search for child components within an end-item assembly, the parent end-item is highlighted.

The business users can set one or more assemblies in a product structure as end-item assemblies for that structure. When they expand a structure on rich client that contains an end-item assembly, the nodes beyond the end-item assembly are not expanded.

Procedure

1. From Launcher, click Preferences.

   If this option is unavailable, search for it. You can pin it from the search results for future access.

2. Open the EndItemState preference and set it to true.

   If this preference is set to false, the end-item assembly state is ignored and the end-item assemblies are expandable just like any other assemblies in rich client.
