Monitoring volumes

It is important to know how much free space is available on each volume at your site, to avoid import errors and emergency fixes. Use the Volume Monitor tab to monitor free space and proactively manage volume usage for all volumes at your site. The volume table lists the status, percentage full, and free space for any volume at your site. When free space is low, use the usage table to track space usage by group or by individual users. Balance volume resources by reassigning default volumes for specific users or groups. As a general guideline to ensure optimal operation, Siemens Digital Industries Software recommends that you avoid storing more than 1 million files on any individual volume.
