Automate Oracle shutdown processes (Linux systems)
Automatic shutdown of Oracle server and database processes is achieved by scripting shutdown commands so that they are run automatically each time the system is shutdown. There are two methods of doing this: Modify an existing system run control (rc) script to include the shutdown commands Create a new system rc script using sample scripts provided by Siemens Digital Industries Software
