Create a requirement template
Procedure
- Choose File -> New -> Item to open the New Item wizard.
- Type
DMTemplatein the text box, or select it under Most Recently Used or Complete List, then click Next. - On the DMTemplate page, enter the template name in the Name box. Optionally, you can also:
- Enter text for the default content of new requirements in the Description box. (Note: if left empty, the initial content of each new requirement is the requirement name.)
- Enter an identifier for the template in the ID box, or click Assign for Teamcenter to assign it automatically.
- Enter an identifier for the template's initial revision in the Revision ID box.
- Select a value from the Unit of Measure list.
- Select Open On Create to open a tabbed view containing the new template revision.
- To create the template, click Finish.
Tip: Click Next instead of Finish to open subsequent pages where you can enter optional information for the template item master, the template item revision, the template item revision master, and the workflow release process.
The template is added to your Home view. If you selected Open On Create, the template revision is displayed in a new tabbed view.
