Performing a comparison and interpreting the results

You must open the two structures to compare in separate Structure Manager panes and configure them before you initiate the comparison process.

Note If you have four or more spaces in any property value, such as the find number or item identifier, you must create the site-level string preference called BOMReportDelimiter to ensure the results are displayed consistently. Set the value of this preference to the delimiter character you want to use instead of spaces when generating a BOM comparison report, for example, ||@||. If you do not create this preference and your BOM lines have four or more spaces as part of any property value, an incorrect BOM comparison report is generated.
