Attach licenses to items and item revisions in a structure

You can attach ADA licenses that are not locked and not expired to items and item revisions in a structure. Attaching an ADA license allows the users and groups to get access based on the rules configured in Access Manager. As you attach an ITAR license, you can cite the applicable authorizing paragraphs. The audit log records an entry for every license attached. Attach licenses to items and item revisions in a structure

Procedure Search for a structure and open it in Structure Manager. Right-click the assemblies, sub-assemblies, or occurrences as appropriate and choose License→Attach. In the Attach an Object to Licenses dialog box, set License Type to the type of license to be attached.

Note Only unlocked licenses and licenses that have not reached their expiration date are listed. In the Licenses for Selection list, select the license to be attached and click the (>) button. The selected licenses appear in the Selected Licenses list. To move all licenses to the Selected Licenses list, click the (>>) button. To remove licenses from the Selected Licenses list, click the (<<) or (<) button. (Optional for ITAR licenses only) Type a statement in Authorizing Paragraph to explain the authorization. To apply access to items and item revisions, from the Parent to Assign menu, select Item or Item Revision. To apply access to the entire BOM or specific levels in a structure, from the Children Levels menu, type the number of levels or select Entire BOM. Click OK or Apply. Procedure Search for a structure and open it in Structure Manager. To detach licenses, right-click the assemblies, sub-assemblies, or occurrences as appropriate and choose License→Detach. To remove licenses from the Selected Licenses list, click the (<<) or (<) button. Click OK or Apply.
