Add color appearance to Color Library A color appearance object captures all the visual appearance aspects of a color specification. It combines color, gloss, and texture information, along with visual material data, into one unified object. Color appearances serve as the primary objects that you assign to Bill of Materials (BOM) items. Add a new color appearance to the color library by combining color, gloss, and texture specifications to create a complete visual appearance definition. Prerequisites You must be in EBOM or Author workspace to access Color Library. Procedure From Launcher, click Color Library . If this option is unavailable, search for it. You can pin it from the search results for future access. In the Appearance tab, click Add to add a new color appearance. In the Add Appearance Color panel, specify the Appearance Color Code and the name of the appearance color. (Optional) Select the Color, Gloss, and Texture for the appearance. Click Add. In the table view, if the RGB values are specified for a color, the Appearance Color column shows a bar containing a preview of the color appearance. To modify the color swatch for the appearance, open the recently created color appearance. Click Edit. (Optional) Modify the color, gloss, or texture for the appearance. Under Visual Material for the color appearance, click Assign to search for and select a visual material from the Add Visual Material panel, and then assign it to the appearance. This allows you to switch between RGB and Visual Material in the 3D rendering. To remove the assigned visual material, select the object and click Unassign.
