Search by property for elements in a structure view
In the Requirements, Function, and Logical Block views, you can locate specific elements quickly by using displayed properties as search criteria. The criteria consist of property names, operators, and property values.
Note: Before you start this procedure, ensure that the view contains a column for each property by which you intend to search. Insert those columns if necessary.
Procedure
Select the parent element, and then click Find within the displayed objects on the toolbar.
- The Find in Display dialog box is displayed.
Double-click the Property Name text box to select a property from the list of available columns.
Double-click the = box to select a different relational operator.
Relational operator Definition = Equal to without case sensitivity == Exact match including case sensitivity > Greater than < Less than >= Greater than or equal to <= Less than or equal to != Not equal to – Range | OR "" Exact string & AND Note: The operators <, <=, >, and >= apply to numeric properties only.
Click the Searching Value text box and type the value you want to search for.
Note: Partial matches are supported for string properties. Wildcard characters are not supported, and the search is not case sensitive.
Add further clauses to the search condition by clicking the add-clause control.
- You can also double-click AND to change it to OR.
If necessary, reorder clauses using the reorder controls.
When the search condition definition is complete, click Find.
- Teamcenter highlights the first line it finds that matches the search condition, and the Find dialog box shows a count of the total number of matching lines found.
Click Find next one and Find previous one to step through the matching lines one at a time.
Tip: You can click Load All to select all matching lines at once.
