Set the copying of the reference designator property to a summarized part

You can use the following steps to set the copying of the reference designator property to a summarized part and configure how it is displayed.

Procedure

Set the internal name of the reference designator property in the copy preferences for both generation and update scenarios as needed.
Set the preference BOM_Enable_Ref_Designator_Value_Packing value as true.
(Optional) You can configure how the reference designator values are displayed after copying them.

After copying, the reference designator values appear on the summarized part as illustrated below:

D_Capacitor (Ref Designator = R1)	P_Capacitor*3 (Ref Designator = R1, R2, R3)
D_Capacitor (Ref Designator = R2)
D_Capacitor (Ref Designator = R3)

In case of released Usage BOM, any modification of reference designator values followed by alignment update may result in the element split.
