requirements-management
You cannot cut or copy and paste a requirement object between structures if:
- The requirement object you are cutting is the top-level requirement specification of the source document. (Note: this limitation does not apply if you are copying rather than cutting.)
- The object template used when exporting the requirement structure from Teamcenter to Word is different for the source and destination documents.
- One of the documents is a document generated from a preview operation.
- The source and destination structures are different types of structures. Both structures must be either precise or imprecise.
- The target location where you want to paste the requirement object in the destination structure has any of the following conditions:
- The BOMview revision (BVR) of the target object is released.
- The BVR of the target object is checked out or locked by the access control list (ACL).
- The target object is released and does not have a BVR.
- The target object is locked by the ACL and does not have a BVR.
Note: If you are cutting and pasting requirement objects between or within documents and the paste operation fails for the destination structure, the source structure is not affected and the selected requirement object is not removed from the source structure.
