Enable moving objects between levels in structures

Typically, when you build the structure of a requirement specification, you create a requirement specification object at the top level of the structure and add structure elements by creating requirement and paragraph objects at lower levels. Using the default Teamcenter data model and business objects to build this structure, you can move objects up and down between the levels in your structure.

If your top level object is a type of object that is not a child of the Specification business object in the data model (for example, a Document), you must configure the object to allow moving the first level objects up and down in your structure. You can configure any business object that is a subtype of Item.

Procedure

1. In the Business Modeler IDE, open the business object revision (for example, Document Revision).
2. Select the business object constant Fnd0AssociatedBOMLine.
3. Set the Value to Fnd0BuildingBlockBOMLine or any of its subtypes, such as Fnd0RequirementBOMLine.
